Cancellation & Refund Policy
TOTOSLOCAL ONE PRIVATE LIMITED believes in helping its customers as far as possible. This policy applies to all subscriptions and services offered on our website, including GBPPromote.
It explains how to cancel, what happens when you do, when refunds are and are not available, and how we correct billing errors. It should be read alongside our Terms & Conditions.
1. Nature of the service
GBPPromote is a software-as-a-service platform providing digital tools, reports and automation related to Google Business Profile management and local search.
Our services are digital and delivered immediately after account activation. No physical products are shipped, and access begins as soon as payment is processed.
2. How to cancel
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account dashboard, or by contacting our support team. There is no cancellation fee, no notice period and no minimum contract term.
What cancelling does
Cancelling stops future billing. Your access continues until the end of the billing cycle you have already paid for — you do not lose access immediately, and you are not charged again.
- Cancel at any point in the cycle; the effect on billing is the same.
- You keep full access until the paid period ends.
- No further charge is taken after cancellation is processed.
- You can resubscribe later. Whether your previous data is still available depends on how long has passed — see section 9.
Cancelling part-way through a cycle does not produce a partial refund for the unused days. See section 5.
3. Free trials
Where a free trial is offered on a plan, the trial period, included features and any limits are stated at the point of sign-up. Availability differs by plan — see the pricing page for what applies to the plan you are considering, as that page is the authoritative source.
- A trial is provided once per user or account.
- Where a trial does not require a payment method, it cannot convert into a charge. Access to paid features simply stops unless you choose to subscribe.
- Where a trial does require a payment method, the conversion terms are disclosed before you provide it.
- You are responsible for reviewing features, limitations and pricing during the trial. That is what it is for.
Our recommendation: if a trial is available on your plan, use it. Because refunds are limited once a paid subscription begins, the trial is the point at which to decide whether the platform suits you. If you need longer than the trial allows to evaluate properly, ask us before subscribing rather than after.
4. Upgrades, downgrades & location changes New
Our pricing is per location, and location counts change. You may add or remove locations, or change plan, at any time.
| Change | What happens |
|---|---|
| Adding locations | Charged from the point they are added, prorated for the remainder of the current cycle where applicable |
| Removing locations | Takes effect from your next billing cycle. No refund is issued for the current cycle, and the locations remain accessible until it ends |
| Upgrading a plan | Takes effect immediately. Any difference is charged for the remainder of the cycle |
| Downgrading a plan | Takes effect from your next billing cycle. No refund for the current cycle |
If you expect location numbers to fluctuate, plan changes shortly before a renewal date rather than shortly after.
5. Refund position
Because our services are digital and access is granted immediately after payment, we do not offer refunds once a paid subscription has been activated. This includes but is not limited to:
- Failure to cancel before a renewal date
- Partial usage of the service during a billing cycle
- Change of mind after subscribing
- Lack of usage after purchase
- Cancelling part-way through a paid cycle
- Dissatisfaction with ranking, visibility or business results, which we do not guarantee — see our Disclaimer
Refunds are not provided for any completed or ongoing billing cycle on these grounds.
If you are a consumer in the EU or UK
Consumer protection law in the European Union and United Kingdom gives consumers — not businesses — a 14-day right to withdraw from a contract for digital services.
That right is lost once supply has begun, where you expressly requested immediate access and acknowledged that you would lose the right of withdrawal. Where you subscribe and access the platform immediately, that is what happens.
Nothing in this policy removes a statutory right you hold as a consumer. If you believe a statutory right applies to your situation, contact us and we will deal with it on that basis rather than on the basis of this policy.
6. When we do issue a refund New
The position in section 5 concerns refunds for change of mind or non-use. It does not mean we refuse to correct our own errors. We will refund in the following cases:
- Duplicate charges — where you have been billed twice for the same period
- Billing errors on our side — where you were charged an incorrect amount, or for locations or a plan you did not have
- Charges after a valid cancellation — where cancellation was processed and billing continued anyway
- Unauthorised charges — where a payment was taken without authority, subject to verification
- Contractual entitlements — where another agreement between us provides for a refund or credit, such as the sub-processor objection right in our Data Processing Agreement
- Where required by applicable law, including statutory consumer rights
We may also issue a refund or service credit at our discretion in other circumstances. Where a refund is approved, it is processed within 1–2 business days. The time for the amount to reach your account then depends on your bank or payment provider, typically a further 5 to 10 business days.
If you think you have been billed incorrectly, tell us. We would far rather find and fix a billing error ourselves than have you discover it later, and correcting our own mistakes is not something we treat as a discretionary favour.
7. Managed services New
Alongside the software we offer managed services, including GBP optimisation, GBP management, local SEO and white-label fulfilment. These are engagements with deliverables rather than instant-access software, so different terms apply.
- Scope, deliverables, duration and fees are agreed in the applicable proposal, order form or statement of work, and those terms take precedence over this policy.
- Where work has been delivered, or has commenced and cannot be recovered, fees for that work are not refundable.
- Where a retainer is cancelled, we agree the treatment of any undelivered portion of the current period with you directly.
- Deliverables produced remain yours regardless of whether the engagement continues.
If you are unsure which terms apply to your arrangement, ask us and we will confirm in writing.
8. Chargebacks & payment disputes New
Please contact us before raising a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Most billing questions are resolved within a day or two, and a chargeback is slower for you than simply telling us.
- Where a charge is genuinely wrong, we will correct it under section 6 without requiring a dispute.
- Where a chargeback is raised, we will respond to the payment provider with the account records, including sign-up, usage and cancellation history.
- Accounts subject to an unresolved chargeback may be suspended until the dispute is settled, in line with our Terms & Conditions.
- Where a chargeback is decided in our favour, we may recover any fee charged to us by the payment provider before restoring the account.
None of this limits your right to dispute a payment where you genuinely believe it was unauthorised or incorrect. We ask only that you talk to us first.
9. Your data after cancellation New
Cancelling stops billing. It also starts a clock on your data.
- Export before you go. You can export your data through the platform while your subscription is active and for a limited period afterwards. Do this before access ends.
- Reconnecting later. If you resubscribe soon after cancelling, your account and historical data are usually still available. After longer periods they may have been deleted.
- Deletion. Personal data is removed or anonymised in line with the retention periods in our Privacy Policy, subject to records we are legally required to keep, such as invoices.
- Your Google profiles are unaffected. Cancelling GBPPromote does not change, remove or disconnect anything on your Google Business Profiles. Content already published stays published, and you can revoke our access at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
10. How to raise a billing question New
Email us with the following and we can usually resolve it without further correspondence:
- The email address on the account
- The date and amount of the charge in question
- The transaction or invoice reference if you have it
- What you expected to happen, and what happened instead
We aim to acknowledge billing queries within 2 business days and to resolve them within 7 business days, or to tell you why more time is needed.
11. Contact & changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted here with a revised date and apply from the date of posting — they do not change the treatment of a payment already made under an earlier version.
