A Moz Local alternative where the add-ons don’t cost more than the plan
On Moz Local Lite, Listings AI and Reviews AI together cost $24 a month, more than the $16 plan they sit on. GBPPromote is $5.33 per location with everything included, available worldwide, and it tracks your Map rankings.
Moz Local does one thing very well
It’s worth being precise about what that thing is, because it decides whether this comparison matters to you at all.
Moz Local is automated listing distribution. You enter your business data once and it syncs to 90+ directories through a network of data partners. Google, Apple, Facebook, Bing, Foursquare, TomTom, with duplicate suppression and bulk Google Business Profile sync. Moz has been in local since 2012, when it acquired GetListed.org and turned it into this product, and the brand trust is real.
For a fifty-location chain whose actual problem is “make sure our hours are right everywhere,” Preferred at $20 per location is genuinely good value and materially cheaper than Yext for most of the data-accuracy benefit. It deliberately isn’t a full local SEO suite, and that focus is a strength rather than an oversight.
Three things send people looking for an alternative, and all three are structural.
The add-ons cost more than the entry plan
Listings AI is $14 per location per month and Reviews AI is $10. Both are included on Elite at $33, but on Lite at $16 they add $24, more than the plan itself. So the honest entry price for the feature set people expect is closer to $33–$40 per location than $16.
Per location means per subscription
Every location needs its own subscription. Ten locations on Preferred is $240 a month, not $24. Which is normal for the category, but catches people out when they read the headline. Above fifty locations you’re into a custom quote.
Three countries
Moz Local serves the United States, the United Kingdom and Canada. If you operate anywhere else, this isn’t a feature comparison: the product isn’t available to you. That’s covered properly below, because a lot of people arrive here asking exactly that.
What Moz Local actually costs
Real tiers, both billing options, add-ons, and the per-location arithmetic that trips people up.
The three self-serve tiers
| Plan | Annual | Monthly |
|---|---|---|
| Litelisting sync, review monitoring | $16 | $20 |
| Preferredadds review replies, sentiment, social | $24 | $30 |
| Eliteadds duplicate removal, both AI add-ons | $33 | $40 |
| Enterprise50+ locations | Quote | Quote |
| Listings AI add-on | $119/yr | $14 |
| Reviews AI add-on | $69/yr | $10 |
Annual billing saves roughly 20%. Both AI add-ons are included on Elite and charged separately on Lite and Preferred. No free trial, though there is a free citation checker. Verified August 2026, confirm on moz.com.
Per location, at real portfolio sizes
| Locations | Moz Local | GBPPromote |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | $24 | $5.33 |
| 10 | $240 | $53 |
| 50 | $1,200 | $267 |
| 50, per year | $14,400 | $3,198 |
Add Listings AI and Reviews AI to that Preferred plan and the fifty-location figure becomes roughly $2,400 a month. Our column doesn’t move, because there’s nothing to add.
Does Moz Local work in your country?
The most common question we see about Moz Local, answered directly.
Moz Local is available in
Yes. Canada and the UK are both supported, which is worth stating plainly because a lot of people arrive unsure. If you’re in one of these three and directory distribution is your need, Moz Local is a legitimate choice and this page isn’t trying to talk you out of it.
Moz Local is not available in
For international portfolios this isn’t a feature gap, it’s a hard stop. Including a US or UK brand with locations elsewhere, since the non-covered locations simply can’t be onboarded. GBPPromote works on Google Business Profile directly, so it operates in any market Google does.
If you searched for Moz Local directory listings for international markets, this is the short answer: three countries, and no roadmap we can point you to. Worth confirming on moz.com before you plan around it.
Accurate listings are the floor, not the ceiling
Consistent data across the web is necessary. It isn’t the same as ranking in the Map Pack.
Geo-grid rank tracking, uncapped Core to GBPPromote
Scans across a grid of points around each location for Google Maps and local pack positions, on your cadence, with trend reports and competitor overlays. This is the diagnostic that tells you which suburbs you’re losing, and it’s what listings tools are consistently criticised for lacking.
One-click optimization with scored tasks Not in Moz Local
Fill categories, services, attributes, descriptions and keyword targeting across a full Google Business Profile in one action, then work a task list ranked by how many points each remaining fix is worth. Syncing accurate data doesn’t do this.
One price, nothing bolted on Unlike Moz Local
Everything above is in the $5.33. No Listings AI, no Reviews AI, no tier to climb for duplicate removal or advanced reporting. Forecasting cost is one number times your location count.
Try it before you pay Unlike Moz Local
Moz Local has no free trial. You commit to a plan and evaluate afterwards, though its free citation checker is a useful first look. Ours is a free trial with no card, and several tools below need no account at all.

Moz Local data verified August 2026: Lite $16, Preferred $24 and Elite $33 per location per month on annual billing ($20/$30/$40 monthly), Enterprise by quote above 50 locations, Listings AI $14/mo and Reviews AI $10/mo as add-ons included on Elite, no free trial, and coverage limited to the US, UK and Canada. On rank tracking: sources conflict, some 2026 feature lists include a GeoRank local rank mapping capability while others state Moz Local has no rank tracking, so it’s marked partial rather than absent. Moz Local vs Yext vs the rest
Almost everyone weighing Moz Local is also looking at Yext. Here’s where each one actually sits.
Moz Local vs Yext
Yext’s publisher network is far larger, roughly 150+ against Moz Local’s ~15 data partners, with deeper governance and a matching procurement process. Moz Local delivers most of the data-accuracy value for a fraction of the cost, with clear public pricing instead of a quote. For mid-market, that trade usually favours Moz.
Synup & Uberall
Both do distribution plus an engagement layer, social, messaging, store locator. Synup adds an agency operating system with per-location module add-ons; Uberall carries a 25-location minimum on its higher packages. Neither publishes simple per-location pricing the way Moz does.
GBPPromote
Not a distribution network. Geo-grid rank tracking plus profile execution, one-click optimization, scored tasks, AI review replies, citation finding, on Google specifically, at a flat per-location price, worldwide.
The useful question isn’t which of these is best. It’s whether your bottleneck is inconsistent data across the web, in which case pick among Moz Local, Yext, Synup and Uberall on network size and contract terms, or position in the local pack, which none of them is built to move. Our Yext alternative page and Synup alternative cover that side in more detail.
