Local Falcon Reviews 2026: Pricing, Features, Pros and Cons
The geo-grid benchmark. It maps your Maps position across a grid of points rather than giving 1 average, and it tracks Apple Maps and AI Overviews too. It does not manage your profile, and does not claim to.

Local Falcon is a geo-grid rank tracking tool, and it is the benchmark for the job. Instead of 1 average position it maps your Google Maps visibility across a grid of points, so you can see the streets where you rank and the streets where you disappear. It also tracks Apple Maps and AI Overviews, which most of the category does not. What it does not do is manage your profile, and it has never claimed to.
What is Local Falcon?

A business can have a good website, strong branding and a healthy reputation, and still not be found, because local customers search on a map. Google Maps rankings are not 1 number. A plumber can sit at position 1 outside their own door and vanish from the top 10 a few miles away.
Local Falcon shows your performance across an entire map grid rather than as a single position. Green where you rank, red where you do not. That clarity is what makes it a favourite among SEO professionals, agencies and multi-location brands, because it tells you which specific areas need attention rather than that you are “3rd in the city”.
What it covers
- Geo-grid rank tracking. A heat map with your exact position at each scan point, not an average
- Competitor overlays. Add rivals to a scan and see their position at every grid point
- Campaigns and scheduling. Recurring scans across services, areas or multiple locations
- Local keyword research and trend reports. Regional terms, and movement over time
- Apple Maps tracking. Not just Google, which is unusual in this category
- AI Overviews and ChatGPT tracking. Included rather than sold as an add-on
- Service area business scanning, for brands with no physical storefront
- Public report URLs. Share a live report with no login required
- CSV and PDF exports, plus Looker Studio, Zapier and API access
- Falcon AI and Citation Finder for optimisation suggestions
- White label reporting for agencies
Public report URLs are better than ours. A client can open a live report without an account. We do white label reporting, but not that.
Pricing and how credits work

4 credit based plans, and every one includes unlimited keywords and unlimited locations. That is unusual and it is the most generous thing about the pricing. What is limited is scanning, because credits are consumed per scan.
| Plan | Monthly | Billed annually | Credits per YEAR | Keywords | Locations |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $24.99 | $299.88 | 90,000 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Growth | $49.99 | $599.88 | 180,000 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Pro | $99.99 | $1,199.88 | 372,000 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
| Enterprise | $199.99 | $2,399.88 | 756,000 | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Credits are per year, not per month, which is easy to misread. Figures taken from the previous version of this article and not re-verified against localfalcon.com. Confirm before relying on them.
Every plan includes global scanning, service area business support, local keyword research, campaigns, competitor and trend reports, AI Overviews and ChatGPT tracking, scheduled scans, variable grid sizes, public report URLs, CSV and PDF exports, Falcon AI, Citation Finder, Apple Maps tracking, Looker Studio, Zapier, API access and white label reporting.
How to use Local Falcon: a 7 step walkthrough
This section is the most useful thing on the page. It is specific about grid sizes and radius, which is where most people waste credits in their first month.
Step 1: Connect your Google account

From the dashboard, open Account and select Connected Accounts, then click Connect Google Account at the top. Log in with the account that has access to your business listings, and allow access by checking the boxes that appear. If no boxes appear, just click Allow.
Step 2: Import your business locations

Open Locations, select Saved Locations, then click Import From Google Account. Choose the account you connected and click Get Locations. If your account uses groups, pick the right group and click Get Locations again. Select the listings you want and click Add to Account.
Step 3: Run your first scan

Click Run a Scan, choose your location, then set grid size and radius. This is the step that decides your credit spend.
- Grid size. Start with 7 by 7 for a clear overview, or 5 by 5 if you want to save credits
- Radius. About 1.5 miles for a city location. About 10 miles for a rural one
- Remove unnecessary points by clicking them. Points over water or irrelevant areas can be deselected, and each one you drop saves a credit
- Add keywords. Use both broad and specific terms to see the real picture
Step 4: Read the scan report

Open Reports to view results. The map shows coloured dots: green for top 3 positions, then yellow, orange and red as ranking drops. Reports download as PDF or CSV, or share via a link. The tool most people weigh this one against is Local Dominator. We set them side by side in Local Falcon vs Local Dominator.
Step 5: Analyse competitors

Open Competitor Reports, select a report and click View Competitor Report. You get competitors ranked by share of local voice, and clicking any 1 shows their exact positions. This is where you find the areas a rival is winning that you had not noticed.
Step 6: Schedule automatic scans

Choose a previous scan, then set date, time and frequency: weekly, fortnightly or monthly. A single scan is a snapshot. A scheduled series is a trend line, and the trend is what a client actually needs to see.
Step 7: Create campaigns for multiple locations

Open Campaigns and click Create New Campaign. Name it clearly, add locations from your saved list, enter keywords or use Get Keyword Suggestions, choose grid size and radius based on your earlier tests, set a recurring schedule, and add email recipients so results share automatically.
ARP, ATP and SoLV explained
3 metrics appear on every report, and the names are not self explanatory.
| Metric | What it means | Which direction is good |
|---|---|---|
| ARP | Average rank position within the top 20 results | Lower is better |
| ATP | Average total position across all listings | Lower is better |
| SoLV | Share of local voice, the percentage of grid points where you appear in the top 3 | Higher is better |
SoLV is the one to report to a client. “We appear in the top 3 across 62 percent of the area, up from 38” is a sentence anyone understands. An average rank position moving from 7.2 to 5.9 is not.
Pros and cons
Where it genuinely delivers
- Geo-grid accuracy. Rankings at exact map points, not broad city averages. The category benchmark
- Competitor overlay. See who beats you at each specific point, not just overall
- Service area business support. Works properly for contractors and delivery businesses with no storefront
- Apple Maps tracking. Almost nothing else in the category offers it
- AI Overviews and ChatGPT tracking included, not sold as an add-on
- Public share links. A client opens a live report with no login. Better than ours
- Unlimited keywords and locations on every plan
- Trend tracking. Past scans stored, so you can prove movement over time
- Exports and integrations. CSV, PDF, Looker Studio, Zapier and API access
Things to consider before buying
- Credit based system. Frequent or large grid scans deplete credits quickly, so real cost depends on behaviour
- Not a full local SEO suite. It tracks rankings. It does not optimise anything
- Initial learning curve. Beginners build oversized grids and waste credits in week 1
- Manual follow up required. The insights are strong but nothing acts on them for you
- No posting, no review replies, no listing management. Outside its scope entirely
- Credits are annual. Easy to misread the allowance as monthly and overspend early
None of the second column is a flaw. Local Falcon is a measurement tool and is clear about it. The mismatch to avoid is buying it expecting the work to get done, then discovering you bought an excellent instrument.
Who should use Local Falcon in 2026?
Local Falcon fits
- Agencies where a ranking map is part of the deliverable
- Service area businesses with no storefront to rank from
- Anyone who needs Apple Maps visibility as well as Google
- Teams who want AI Overview tracking without an add-on charge
- Agencies who value public report links a client can open instantly
- Multi-location brands wanting campaigns across many locations
Look elsewhere if
- You want the work done, not measured
- You need posting, review replies or listing management
- You scan infrequently, because credits go unused
- You want 1 subscription rather than a measurement tool plus a platform
- You need citations built rather than just found
- Profile protection against third-party edits matters to you
All 45 GBPPromote features

GBPPromote runs 45 features across 7 categories, from geo-grid rank tracking through to a 1-click website builder, and it connects to Claude and ChatGPT so you can ask questions about your own locations in plain language.
An earlier version of this article quoted $49, $79 and $99 per profile per month and described the trial as costing $1. Those figures are long out of date and were wrong by a wide margin. If you saw them anywhere else on this site, the current pricing page is the one to trust.
Rank and visibility
7 tools- Local rank checker, free, no account
- Local pack rank tracking, scheduled geo-grid scans
- Service area business rank tracker, for businesses without a storefront
- Keyword research, local terms worth ranking for
- Competitors spy, what rivals changed, not just where they rank
- AI visibility tracker, your brand across 6 AI search engines
- Location local rank full report, the complete picture per location
This is Local Falcon’s home ground and it is the better tool here. Its geo-grid is the category benchmark, it tracks Apple Maps as well as Google, and it monitors AI Overviews and ChatGPT. What differs is that every location comes with its own 100 grid credits a month, and competitor change tracking shows what a rival altered rather than only where they rank.

Reviews and reputation
10 tools- AI review reply, custom prompt, your tone
- Template auto reply, your own written responses
- Template auto rotation, so 40 replies never read alike
- Review request automation, email sequences
- Centralised reviews management, every location, 1 inbox
- Review alerts, instant, per rating
- Review widget, display reviews on your own site
- Magic QR code, smart review collection
- Feedback QR and AI QR code, capture before it goes public
- Survey QR, build with AI, collect by QR, summarise
Template rotation is the one nobody else has. AI replies that all follow the same structure are visible to anyone scrolling your profile. Rotation varies them deliberately. Local Falcon has no review tooling at all, which it does not claim to.

Profile automation
10 tools- Auto post, set it once, it keeps running
- Auto media dripfeed, photos released on a schedule
- GMB post scheduler, offers, updates, events
- GMB media scheduler, images and video queued
- Optimization, find gaps, fix from the audit screen
- Bulk optimization, apply fixes across every location
- Bulk update, hours, services, attributes at once
- Smart tasks, the platform tells you what needs doing
- Profile protection, catch unwanted third-party edits
- Brand consistency, flag locations drifting off-brand
Not offered by Local Falcon. It measures and reports. It does not post, reply or optimise. That is the clearest split between the 2 products and the reason many agencies run both.

Listings and citations
3 tools- Citation management, build and fix across 100 or more directories
- Boost citation, accelerate distribution
- Local business schema, structured data for your own site
Local Falcon has a Citation Finder that suggests where you are missing, but it does not build or fix listings. This group does the building across 100 or more directories.
Web presence
5 tools- Store locator, embed a find-a-store map
- 1-click website builder, a local site from your profile
- AI location pages, an indexable page per location
- Multi social media scheduling, beyond Google Posts
- Private media library, customers upload photos via a link
The private media library solves a real operational problem. Getting current photos out of franchisees or store managers is usually a chase. A link they can upload to removes the chase.
Reporting and agency
5 tools- Local SEO reporting tool, client-ready, white label
- Multi location report, the whole estate
- Portfolio report, every client in 1 view
- Location trend report, movement over time
- GMB audit tool, agency pitching and onboarding
Both do white label reporting. Local Falcon’s public report URLs are better than ours, because a client can open a live report with no login at all. Portfolio reporting across every client in 1 view is the piece it does not have.

Platform and integrations
5 tools- MCP connector, ask Claude or ChatGPT about your locations
- Google Analytics connector, website traffic alongside profile data
- Zapier integration, route alerts anywhere
- Add team members, roles and permissions per location
- Multi language, replies and content beyond English
No equivalent in Local Falcon. The MCP connector lets your own AI assistant read your location data and answer questions in plain language, read-only and scoped to what you authorise. Worth noting the other way round: Local Falcon has Looker Studio, Zapier and API access, which is wider reporting integration than we offer.

The honest summary of that list
45 features is not automatically better than 15. Breadth only counts if you use it, and a single location owner will touch perhaps 10 of these.
And Local Falcon is not trying to have 45 features. It does 1 job at a very high standard. Counting features against it misses the point, which is why the section below is about what each is for rather than which has more.
Local Falcon vs GBPPromote
Local Falcon measures. GBPPromote acts. That is the whole comparison, and it is why the answer for many agencies is both rather than either.
| Area | Local Falcon | GBPPromote |
|---|---|---|
| What it is | Geo-grid measurement, the benchmark | Profile management platform |
| Pricing model | Credit based, 4 tiers $24.99 to $199.99 | Flat per location, 100 grid credits each |
| Price | $24.99 to $199.99 a month | $16 for 1, $37 flat 2 to 7, $5.33 from 8 |
| Keywords and locations | Unlimited on every plan | Per location pricing |
| Geo-grid rank tracking | The category benchmark | Scheduled scans, 100 credits a location |
| Apple Maps tracking | Yes | Not offered |
| AI search visibility | AI Overviews and ChatGPT, included | AI visibility checker, 6 engines |
| Public report URLs | Yes, no login needed | White label reports |
| Competitor tracking | Position overlay per grid point | Change tracking, what rivals altered |
| Posting and scheduling | Not offered | Auto-post, media dripfeed, scheduler |
| Review replies | Not offered | AI replies, template rotation, auto-post by rating |
| Review requests | Not offered | SMS, WhatsApp, email and QR |
| Citations | Citation Finder, finds gaps only | Builds and fixes across 100 or more directories |
| Profile protection | Not offered | Catches third-party edit suggestions |
| Store locator, pages, website | Not offered | All included |
| Integrations | Looker Studio, Zapier, API access | Zapier, Google Analytics, MCP connector |
If measurement is what you are buying, Local Falcon is the right tool and this table should not talk you out of it.
Why many agencies run both
This is the part most vendor comparisons will not say, so it is worth stating plainly. These 2 tools do not compete for the same job.
Local Falcon tells you that you are weak in the north of the catchment and that a specific competitor owns those grid points. It will not write the posts, answer the reviews, fix the categories or build the citations that change it. That work still has to happen, and it is where the ranking actually moves.
The reverse is also true. A management platform keeps profiles active, answered and consistent, but the street level picture of whether it worked is exactly what a geo-grid tool is built to produce.
If your product is a monthly ranking report, buy Local Falcon.
If your product is “we manage your profiles”, buy a management platform.
If your product is both, most agencies end up paying for both, and Local Falcon Starter at $24.99 alongside a per location platform is not an unreasonable stack.
Final verdict
Local Falcon is the best geo-grid rank tracking tool available, and it is honest about being only that. It turns complex ranking data into a map anyone can read in 2 seconds, and the detail it produces is genuinely actionable: not “you rank 3rd” but “you are invisible in these 9 specific blocks and this competitor owns them”.
2 things are ahead of the category rather than merely competitive. Apple Maps tracking is nearly unique, and matters more than it sounds in markets with heavy iPhone use. And AI Overviews and ChatGPT tracking included on every plan, rather than sold as an add-on, is ahead of several rivals who charge separately for it.
The limits are structural. Credits mean real cost depends on how you scan rather than which plan you pick, and beginners routinely waste them on oversized grids in week 1. And it does not optimise anything. Every insight needs someone to act on it.
Buy Local Falcon if measurement is the deliverable, you want the most accurate geo-grid data available, or you need Apple Maps and AI Overview visibility that most competitors do not track.
Choose GBPPromote if you want the work done rather than measured: posting, review replies, review requests, citations built rather than just found, and profile protection, at a flat per location rate.
And if the answer is both, that is a legitimate answer. They solve different halves of the same problem, and pretending otherwise would not survive a week of actually doing this work.

Run a free geo-grid scan before you pick a plan

$16 for 1 location, $37 flat for 2 to 7, $5.33 each from 8 up. 3 day free trial, no credit card
On the removed reviews. The previous version of this article carried 16 testimonials, 8 for Local Falcon and 8 for GBPPromote, none with a name, company, date or platform, plus a 4.9 out of 5 rating from 10,000 businesses with no source. All of it has been removed. If real reviews with attribution exist, they can be added back. Unattributed quotes presented as customer feedback should not be published.
On the pricing correction. The previous version quoted GBPPromote at $49, $79 and $99 per profile per month, and described the trial as costing $1. Current pricing is $16 for 1 location, $37 flat for 2 to 7 and $5.33 each from 8 up, with a 3 day free trial and no card. The old figures were wrong by a wide margin.
On review removal. The previous version described a fake review removal service. No tool can remove a Google review. That requires Google to act on a report. What good tools do is detect suspicious reviews and make reporting them quicker, and that is how it is described here.
On our bias. GBPPromote overlaps with part of what Local Falcon does. This review states that its geo-grid is better than ours, that its Apple Maps and AI Overview tracking have no equivalent here, that its public report URLs beat our reporting for client access, and that many agencies sensibly run both. Local Falcon pricing was carried over from the previous version and needs verifying against localfalcon.com. Google, Google Maps and Google Business Profile are trademarks of Google LLC.
