Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how TOTOSLOCAL ONE PRIVATE LIMITED (“GBPPromote”, “we”, “us”, “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit gbppromote.com or use our services. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy.
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device — computer, mobile or tablet — when you visit a website. They help websites function properly, remember preferences, improve user experience and provide analytical information.
First-party and third-party
First-party cookies are set by us, directly by the website you are visiting. Third-party cookies are set by other organisations whose services we use, such as analytics or infrastructure providers.
Session and persistent
Session cookies are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser. Persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period, or until you delete them, so the site can recognise you on a later visit.
We also use technologies that work similarly to cookies, including local storage and pixels. Where this policy says “cookies”, it covers those too.
2. Why we use cookies
- To ensure the website and platform function correctly
- To keep you logged in securely and maintain your session
- To remember your preferences
- To analyse how the website and platform are used
- To improve performance, security and user experience
3. Types of cookies we use Corrected
Cookies fall into categories with different rules attached. Only strictly necessary cookies can be set without asking you first. Everything else requires your consent.
A. Strictly necessary cookies
Essential to the operation of our website and services. They enable core functionality such as security, authentication, session management and load balancing. Without them the Services cannot be delivered.
Legal basis: exempt from the consent requirement under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, because they are strictly necessary to provide a service you explicitly requested. You cannot turn these off through our consent tool, though you can block them in your browser — the site will not work correctly if you do.
Why the distinction matters
Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, storing or accessing information on your device requires your consent unless the cookie is strictly necessary to deliver a service you asked for. That rule sits alongside the GDPR and takes precedence for cookies specifically, which is why convenience cookies cannot rely on legitimate interest.
4. Cookies we set New
The table below lists the cookies used on our website and platform, their purpose and how long they last.
| Cookie | Category | Purpose | Duration | Set by |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| wordpress_[hash] | Strictly necessary | Authenticates you when signed in to the website’s administration area | Session | GBPPromote |
| wordpress_logged_in_[hash] | Strictly necessary | Records that you are signed in and which account you are using | Session | GBPPromote |
| PHPSESSID | Strictly necessary | Maintains your session between page requests | Session | GBPPromote |
| Application session cookie | Strictly necessary | Keeps you signed in to the GBPPromote application at app.gbppromote.com and secures your session | Session, or until you sign out | GBPPromote |
| wp-settings-[id] | Functional | Remembers your interface preferences within the site administration | 1 year | GBPPromote |
| wp-settings-time-[id] | Functional | Records when those interface preferences were last set | 1 year | GBPPromote |
Note on cookie names: where a name is shown with [hash] or [id], the cookie name includes a value unique to your site or your user account. The purpose and duration are the same regardless.
We review this list periodically and update it when our cookies change. If you find a cookie on our site that is not listed here, tell us at amit@gbppromote.com and we will investigate and correct this page.
5. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are placed by third-party service providers that support our website and services, such as analytics or infrastructure providers.
We keep third-party cookies to a minimum. Where we reference external services — for example linking to a booking page or displaying review graphics — we do so in a way that does not set third-party cookies on your device.
Where a third-party cookie is not strictly necessary, we will set it only after you have consented, and we will list it in the table above before doing so.
6. Consent & managing preferences
Why you are not asked to accept cookies
We only set the cookies listed in section 4. Those are strictly necessary to run the website and keep you signed in, and two of them are administration preferences that apply only to logged-in site administrators rather than visitors.
Because strictly necessary cookies are exempt from the consent requirement under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, we do not show a consent banner. We would rather not interrupt you with a request for permission we do not need.
If we introduce analytics, advertising or any other non-essential cookie, we will ask for your consent before setting it, and we will provide a preference control so you can accept, reject or change your choices at any time. Rejecting will always be as easy as accepting.
In the meantime, you retain full control through your browser — see section 8. You can view, block or delete any cookie we set at any time, without asking us.
7. Do Not Track & Global Privacy Control
Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) are browser signals indicating a preference not to be tracked or to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal data.
Because we set no analytics or advertising cookies and do not track visitors across websites, there is no tracking on this site for those signals to switch off. Your browsing here is not used to build a profile of you, regardless of whether you send a signal.
If we introduce non-essential cookies in future, we will treat a GPC signal as a valid request to reject them. As set out in our Privacy Policy, we do not sell personal data or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising in any event.
8. Controlling cookies in your browser
Independently of our consent tool, you can control or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you view stored cookies, delete them, block them entirely, or set preferences for specific websites.
Please note: blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of the website and platform from working, including logging in. Blocking other categories will not stop you using the site.
9. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the cookies we use, our services, or legal requirements. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
Where a change means we need to set a new category of cookie, we will ask for your consent before doing so rather than relying on your previous choice.
