Google Posts Repeat Posts Feature Now Live

A few months ago, Google was seen testing recurring and repeating options for Google Posts. Now, that feature is officially live. This update adds more flexibility for businesses and works alongside the existing option to schedule Google Posts.

As Darren Shaw said on LinkedIn, this was announced this week in the Google Small Business Bulletin, where Google wrote:

If your business has a weekly rhythm like a Wednesday trivia night or a Friday happy hour, you no longer have to repost them manually every week. We’ve added a “Repeat” dropdown to Events and Offers so they can update automatically. It’s a simple way to keep your customers informed without adding another task to your to-do list.

Google also explained how it works. The next time you create a post, you just need to select the frequency that fits your schedule. After that, the post will stay updated on Search and Maps automatically.

This can be a very useful and time-saving feature for local businesses. It helps reduce manual work and also makes it easier to keep your Google Business Profile active with fresh content.

  • You can set a post to repeat daily, weekly, or monthly.
  • You can use this on Offer and Event posts, but not Update posts.
  • Perfect to make sure your profile stays looking freshly updated.
  • The idea is to use it for recurring events like happy hour or quiz night.
