Google is introducing a new feature in Google Business Profiles that helps show how accurate a business’s listed information is. This update displays the percentage of people who confirmed that a certain attribute, like “wheelchair accessible” or “free Wi-Fi,” is actually true for that business.
This change was first noticed by Claudia Tomina. She shared that when you tap on the “About” section in a local business listing on mobile, you might see a line next to certain attributes saying something like “Confirmed by 85% of 200 visitors.” That means real customers have confirmed that the feature exists at the location.
Claudia posted screenshots and explained, “The ‘About’ section on mobile now highlights visitor-confirmed attributes with public-facing percentages.” She also noted that Google is adding more user feedback into business profiles and that branded searches are getting lots of new features. This feature could be helpful for customers trying to decide where to go. But for businesses, it’s also a reminder to be honest about your profile details. If you list something that isn’t actually offered, users might call it out.
