Google has officially rolled out Sitelinks support for local search ads within the Google Maps interface. These sitelinks appear as a carousel of clickable links displayed just below a sponsored ad, helping users navigate directly to specific pages on a business’s website.
This update was first noticed by Anthony Higman and later confirmed by Google Ads Liaison Ginny Marvin on X (formerly Twitter).
Ginny stated, “We’ve recently fully launched the ability to show sitelinks in search ads on Maps to take people to specific pages on your site.” She also added that these ads can appear from both Search and Performance Max campaigns.
According to Ginny, advertisers must have at least two sitelinks for both desktop and mobile to make them visible in the ad. These links can be added at the account, campaign, asset group, or ad group level.
Screenshots shared by Anthony show the new sitelinks carousel under a “Denlea & Carton” ad in the Google Maps sidebar, confirming the live rollout.
