Google Business Profiles Products Stuck in Pending Status

Google Business Profiles (GBP) users are dealing with a new glitch. This time, the problem involves products getting stuck in “Pending” status, and it’s affecting both new listings and ones that were already live.

The issue popped up a few days ago, and so far, it hasn’t gone away. Business owners and marketers managing multiple profiles are reporting the same thing across different platforms.

What’s Happening?

Normally, when you add a product to your Google Business Profile, it gets approved and goes live within a few minutes. But lately, that process has slowed down dramatically. In some cases, products are sitting in “Pending” for over a day or two.

Even more concerning, some previously approved products that were live for months are now reverting back to “Pending” status, without any edits or resubmissions from the business owner.

A screenshot shared by Nirmal Panwar on X shows exactly this: multiple products marked as “Pending” on a single profile.

Complaints Are Piling Up

The issue has also surfaced on the Google Business Profiles Forum, where users are sharing similar experiences. One user explained that new products are taking much longer than usual to go live, and that older, already-approved products are unexpectedly showing “Pending” again, without any changes made on their end.

Another user shared a similar experience over on this thread, noting that starting July 30, 2026, products that had been live for several months suddenly reverted to “Pending” across five different profiles they manage. No edits or resubmissions were made before the issue began.

Meanwhile, over at the Local Search Forum, agencies managing client accounts are reporting the same pattern. According to one post, the problem started on a Monday and has affected every single client profile the agency manages. Importantly, none of these profiles are connected to Google Merchant Center, ruling that out as a possible cause.

No Response From Google Yet

So far, Google has not publicly acknowledged the bug or responded to the growing number of complaints. That said, the scale of reports suggests this isn’t an isolated case. It appears to be a widespread technical issue on Google’s end.

What Should You Do?

If your product listings are stuck in “Pending,” you’re not alone. At this point, there isn’t much business owners can do except wait it out. Since the issue seems to stem from Google’s system rather than anything on the user’s side, resubmitting or editing products likely won’t help.

Hopefully, Google addresses this soon so businesses can get back to managing their listings without extra hassle.
