Google appears to be testing or introducing a new section in Google Business Profiles called Place page attributes. This feature seems to help businesses share more useful details with customers directly on their Business Profile. These details may appear publicly on Google Search, Google Maps, and other Google services.
In addition, this section may give businesses a better way to show important information that helps customers understand the business before making contact. This could make the profile more helpful and informative for users.
One of the most interesting parts of this update is the option to choose a Primary chat method. Based on what has been spotted so far, the available options include:
- Facebook Messenger
- KakaoTalk
- LINE
- Text message
This feature was spotted by Shoichi Hasegawa, who shared it on X. He noted that Japanese users can register one of the following as an available chat option: Facebook Messenger, KakaoTalk, LINE, WhatsApp, or Text messaging.

I found a setting called “Place page attributes” in Google Business Profile. Has this been there for a while?

At the moment, this looks like a relatively new update, although it is still not fully confirmed how widely it has rolled out. Even so, it could be a useful addition for businesses that want to offer more ways for customers to connect.
The Learn more link reportedly leads to a related support page, which may offer more details about how this feature works.
