A new Google Business Profile review bug is worrying many business owners. When users click the “Read reviews” option inside their Google Business Profile, some are seeing a message that says, “You have no reviews yet.” It is also an argument for watching reviews somewhere other than the profile itself. Our Chatmeter review covers one of the tools sold for that job.
However, the reviews may still appear publicly on the live Google Business Profile listing.
Several business owners have reported the issue in the Google Business Profile Forums. More complaint threads have appeared within a short period, which suggests the problem may be affecting many profiles.
What Is the Google Business Profile Review Bug?
The issue appears when a business owner or manager tries to open the review section from the Google Business Profile dashboard.
After clicking “Read reviews,” some users see the following message:
“You have no reviews yet.”
This message can appear even when the business has hundreds or thousands of reviews.
For example, the total review count may still be visible on the public business listing. However, the review list inside the management dashboard appears empty.
The bug does not seem to affect every business or every user. Some managers can still access the reviews, while others managing the same profile may see an empty review section.
Google Product Expert Reports the Issue
Google Product Expert Amy Toman also shared details about the problem in a LinkedIn post.
She explained that users were seeing two conflicting messages. Google was showing that the business had no reviews, while also displaying the correct total number of reviews.
In one case, a business had 916 reviews. The same review count was still visible on the live Google listing, but the reviews could not be accessed from the dashboard.
She also noted that the problem appeared to be random. It was not connected to a recent profile reinstatement, and it was not affecting every user with access to the business profile.
Reports were being submitted through the Google Business Profile Forum and Google Support.
Business Owners Report Missing Reviews
Several complaint threads have appeared in the Google Business Profile Forums.
One business owner reported that all of their reviews were gone, including thousands of reviews.
Another user reported problems viewing reviews in the Google Business Profile dashboard.
Other reported issues include:
- Reviews not showing up
- Business owners being unable to access Google reviews
- A profile showing 407 reviews while the review list remains empty
These reports show that the issue is not limited to one business, industry, or account.
Are the Google Reviews Permanently Deleted?
At this stage, the reviews do not appear to be permanently deleted.
In many cases, the correct review count is still visible on the public Google Business Profile. This suggests that the reviews remain stored in Google’s system but are temporarily unavailable inside the management dashboard.
Business owners should first check their public listing before assuming that all reviews have been removed.
If the public review count is still correct, the issue is likely related to the dashboard display or review management interface.
Is This Connected to the Previous Missing Reviews Issue?
This bug appears to be different from the Google review issue reported last week.
The earlier problem involved reviews becoming hidden after businesses disputed fake reviews. The latest bug seems to affect the ability to view and manage existing reviews from the Google Business Profile dashboard.
However, both issues involve reviews becoming unavailable, so some business owners may find it difficult to know which problem is affecting their profile.
Google Says the Review Issue Has Been Resolved
An update received at around 5:30 p.m. ET stated that Google had resolved the issue involving reviews being hidden after fake reviews were disputed.
According to the update, all affected reviews should now be visible again.
However, it may take one or two days for the fix to appear across every Google Business Profile account. Google updates often roll out gradually, so some users may continue to see the incorrect message for a short period.
What Should Business Owners Do?
Business owners who see the “You have no reviews yet” message should avoid panicking.

First, search for the business on Google or Google Maps and check the public review count. If the correct number is still visible, the reviews are probably not deleted.
Next, try opening the profile from another Google account that has owner or manager access. Since the issue does not affect every user, another manager may still be able to access the reviews.
Business owners can also report the problem through the Google Business Profile Forums or contact Google Business Profile Support.
It is also a good idea to take screenshots of the empty review section and the public review count. These screenshots may be helpful when explaining the issue to Google Support.
Final Thoughts
The latest Google Business Profile review bug is causing some businesses to see a “You have no reviews yet” message, even though their reviews remain visible publicly.
The issue appears to be widespread, but it does not affect every profile or user. Google has also said that a related review visibility problem has been resolved, although the fix may take a day or two to reach all accounts.
For now, business owners should check their live listing, document the issue, and continue monitoring the review section. In most reported cases, the reviews appear to be hidden temporarily rather than permanently removed.
