Google is expanding the use of artificial intelligence in local search results. Earlier, we saw AI being used to create business descriptions, menu summaries, and other local panel details. Now, Google is also using AI to automatically generate a list of services offered by local businesses.
This new update was spotted by Joy Hawkins, who shared it on X:

In her screenshot and video, you can clearly see that both the service list and the business description are created using AI. This means Google is relying more on automation to display key information directly inside the Knowledge Panel.
As a result, small businesses may notice new services appearing on their Google Business Knowledge Panel, even if they did not manually add them. Therefore, business owners should regularly check their Google Business Profile details to make sure all information is accurate.
Artificial intelligence continues to play a bigger role in local SEO. Business owners who stay updated and monitor their profiles closely will be better prepared for these changes.
