Google has officially announced that it will discontinue the My Business Q&A API on November 3, 2025. Earlier this year, there were already signs that the Google local Questions and Answers feature was being phased out in several regions, not just in India. Now the confirmation has come through an email sent by Google.
The email, shared by Dale Jepto on the Local Search Forum, clearly states:
“On November 3, 2025, we’ll be discontinuing the My Business Q&A API.”

However, the update also mentions that Google is working on improving the Q&A functionality and user experience, which means we may see changes or a new version of this feature in the future.
After the shutdown date, users will no longer be able to post or read questions and answers through the API. Still, Google has clarified that businesses will continue to access existing data and reporting details through the API until it is discontinued.
This move suggests that while the current Q&A API will end, Google might introduce new tools or updates to the Q&A system that focus more on improving user engagement and interaction.
