Google Ads has launched a new link called “Products at this location” that now appears on some search and sponsored ads. Google confirmed this as a relatively new feature, and it can show up for both service businesses and product-based businesses.

This feature was first spotted by Anthony Higman, who shared a screenshot on X.

Later, Ginny Marvin, the Google Ads Liaison, confirmed the update on X. She explained that the goal of this feature is to help users reach specific information about a business more easily.
Her post is here:
This is a relatively new feature to make it easier for people to navigate to specific information about a business. For service businesses, the “Products” tab may list types of services they offer, or in the case of a law firm, their practice areas. I’ve shared this feedback with…

However, many marketers found it confusing when this link appeared for listings like law firms, which do not sell products. Ginny Marvin clarified that for service businesses, the “Products” tab may highlight the services they offer. For law firms, it may show their practice areas.
Anthony Higman also shared his thoughts and felt that this feature makes more sense for e-commerce than lead generation. He pointed out that product listings inside Google Business Profiles for service businesses often look basic. He also said it may need improvement if Google decides to keep it live. Ginny Marvin replied that she has shared this feedback with the team.
There is an active forum-style discussion happening on X as well.
This update is important for local and service-based businesses because it can change how customers view your services directly from Google Ads. It may also encourage businesses to improve how they present their services inside the Google Business Profile.
